Group opens way for ‘new’ media

There was an overwhelmingly positive response from Midland Group members to a move to update our constitution to include members who worked principally in new media, not print-based outlets.

The voting, carried out electronically by new deputy chairman Mark Slack showed a 90 per cent positive response (18 of the 20 active members who voted) for the reworded constitution.

It now says membership will be considered for: “Anyone living or working within the qualifying region who is deemed by the committee to be involved in the production of a significant volume of editorial material of an original and objective nature in the field of automotive media of any form.”
