Bob contributes to and publishes numerous titles aimed at the emergency services market. He is editor of Firestyle magazine and compiler of its regular eight-page motor supplement, and is also responsible for commissioning lifestyle articles for the magazine.

Bob also contributes on occasions to Midland newspapers, and serves as Treasurer of the Midland Group of Motoring Writers.
